Mac Mail Setup Guide

Alternatively, you can follow the below step-by-step process:

Please replace name@domainname.co.nz with your own Freeparking email address.

 

Step 1. Open Mail, from the Dock menu.

Step 2. From the top menu, click Mail then Preferences.

Step 3. Click on Accounts then click the + button, to add a new email account.

Step 4. Choose Add Other Mail Account and click Continue.

Step 5. Enter your Name, Email Address, and Password then click Create.

Step 6. Choose the option to manually configure and click Next.

Click Next

 

Step 7. Enter the below information and click Next.

Incoming Mail Server Info

  • Account Type: IMAP (or POP)
  • Mail Server: mailx.freeparking.co.nz
  • User Name: Your full email address.
  • Password: The password for your email addres.

Step 8. Enter the below information and click Next. (If you are adding a POP account, there will be no path prefix option and the incoming port will be 995)

  • Path Prefix: INBOX (in capitals)
  • Port: 993 Use SSL: Ticked
  • Authentication: Password

Step 9. Enter the below information and click Create.

Outgoing Mail Server Info

  • SMTP Server: mailx.freeparking.co.nz
  • User Name: Your full email address.
  • Password: The password for your email address.

You can now send and receive emails using Mac Mail.
