'Current disk space consumption has reached a limit' or

'Current disk space consumption has reached a critical limit' or

'Mailbox approaching limit'
which reads: 'You are now using over 75% of your allocated mail storage quota'.

As stated, your mailbox on the server with us, not on your own computer, has gone over 75% of the allocated space.

There are a few things you can do in this case:

1: Check your email quota, it might be fine

Log in to the email control panel for your domain at http://mail.yourdomain.co.nz/mailadmin.  If you log in as a standard user you will be shown your quota straight away, admins will need to click the 'Total Space' pie chart. If this shows you have significant free space then it is likely that when you downloaded the email notification you also downloaded your email and cleared the account, resolving the issue at the same time. If you have little free space you may consider one of the following options.

2: Delete emails from webmail

Log in to your webmail account at http://mail.yourdomain.co.nz/webmail. Removing emails from webmail will free up space in the mailbox. If you only use webmail or you use an IMAP account then removing these emails will permanently remove them. You can also check for spam or sent messages in their respective folders as these can often take up significant space as well.

3: Set your email client to clear old emails

If you use an email client to check your email i.e. Outlook or Mac Mail, you can set it to remove emails off the server to automatically tidy up your mailbox. You should generally only do this if you use a POP account as IMAP accounts may be used to store important archived mail online. To enable this, go into the settings of your email client and go into your account, usually under the 'Advanced' section you will find the appropriate settings. You are looking for the option named "Remove email from server after X days" or similar.  You will sometimes need to enable the option "Leave a copy of email on the server" or similar before you can enable the former option. Set it to delete after say 3 - 5 days and save your settings.

4: Increase your mailbox quota

By logging in to the email control panel as the administrator you can change the allocated email quota. If you are not the administrator, you will need to ask whoever manages the email accounts if this can be done. If there is no more space available to allocate between your accounts you may wish to consider upgrading your email to the next plan. A list of our plans can be found on our website. To upgrade the account, log in to 'My Account' on the Freeparking website and manage the existing plan, select the 'Upgrade/Downgrade' button, and choose the new plan you would like.
