Someone has sent me an email but it hasn’t arrived, what can I do?

  1. Check the email was sent to the correct email address.
  2. Ensure your email program is downloading email correctly and you have a good Internet connection.
  3. Whitelisting: First you must note that this option should only be used if you identify an issue where the email is sent to the correct address but is not received, whitelists should not be set pre-emptively otherwise you may block legitimate emails.

Log in to your email control panel at http://mail.yourdomain.co.nz/mailadmin and select the 'White/Black Lists' option from the left-hand menu. Click the option to Add a list.

If you have logged in as your own user you can only set one for yourself, but if you are logged in as an administrator you can add a list for all users.

Add the address you are having trouble receiving e.g. for freeparking.co.nz you would add: *@freeparking.co.nz

Make sure the list type is set to 'Whitelist' and click 'Add Address' to save the listing.

Now you can be sure that we are not blocking the listed address, so any further emails should come through. If they do not, the sender may need to check their email system, as it is likely their emails are not getting through to your account.

[Note: Replace any instances of yourdomain.co.nz with your actual domain name]
