How do I access the MySQL database system for cPanel?

Databases can be created from the MySQL section in cPanel or from the Freeparking My Account portal.

To access the MySQL section from the Freeparking My Account portal log into the account and manage the hosting service.

Then click on Service Management and scroll down to the MySql Control Panel section and click the Login button.

How do I create a MySQL database?

Once you have accesed the MySQL section using either of the methods detailed in the How do I access the MySQL database system for cPanel? section above then click Create New Database.

Enter your new database name (it will be prefixed with your username) and select the Database user you wish to manage the database and click the Add Database button.

The final page shows that your database has been created, the user assigned and the host that your database is located on.

How do I Import a MySQL Database for cPanel?

Access the MySQL section using either of the methods detailed in the How do I access the MySQL database system for cPanel? section above.

Click on the Manage button for the database concerned and then on the MyAdmin button. You will now be managing the selected database.

Click the Import option from the horizontal menu at the top.

Click the Browse button, then locate the file to import.

If required, select the appropriate file format. Click the Go button to start the import.

How do I Export a MySQL Database for cPanel?

Access the MySQL section using either of the methods detailed in the How do I access the MySQL database system for cPanel? section above.

Click on the Manage button for the database concerned and then on the MyAdmin button. You will now be managing the selected database.

Click the Export option from the horizontal menu at the top.

Select the Quick or Custom export method and format, then click Go.

You will then able to save the database export file to your computer.

How do I access/reference my MySQL database in my Website?

Access the MySQL section using either of the methods detailed in the How do I access the MySQL database system for cPanel? section above.

At the top of the MySQL page is a section MySQL Connection Info which displays the MySQL Hostname you need to use.

When you configure the MySQL connection string for your site use this hostname for your MySQL host.

You will also need to use the database name and database username and the database users password.

The database name and database user name are displyed on this page also.

If required you can reset the database users password from the MySQL Users secition on this page.
